Supporting Sobo: How Stewart Britton has raised £30,000 for Southbourne’s Food Banks
Stewart Britton set up Supporting Sobo in August 2020 as a way of raising money for the local community and the food bank in the Immanuel Church. He created the logo S❤️BO inspired by ‘I ❤️ Tottenham’ and ‘I ❤️ MCR’ campaigns because he saw how it brought communities together and wanted to do the same for Southbourne. This logo can now be seen all across the high street.
He began by selling the logo on stickers as a way of fundraising. This then expanded to masks, tote bags, key rings and tote bags which shops then began selling with all profits going towards the community and food banks.

A couple years ago Britton was approached by Coastal Bid for his logo to be put up in lights across the high street for Christmas.
He has also hosted 24 ‘SoboLoco’ event fundraisers with the revenue of tickets going towards the cause. SoboLoco hosts events throughout the year to celebrate holidays such as halloween, new years etc. Supporting Sobo has now raised over £30,000 for local food banks.
