Round Up of the Pumpkin Carving Competition 2024

On the 26th October we held the annual Southbourne Pumpkin Carving competition on the Green. Sopley Farm supplied 100 pumpkins which were delivered to all traders in Southbourne by Coastal BID and the Boscombe and Southbourne Rotary Club.

This was a great day out for families to get into the Halloween spirit. There was face painting on the Green as well as the Bournemouth goats and free sweets. You could grab a token from the Green and wander up the high street to see all the amazing pumpkins carved by the local traders and drop of the token in the shop with your favourite pumpkin. The best shop pumpkin won £200 so the stakes where high.

Marks Meats gruesome pig pumpkin won with 72 tokens.

Debra came second with 63 tokens.

Closely followed by Mr Barbers with 60 tokens.

There was also a public pumpkin carving competition where the winner won £100. There were some great entries however the winner was Nadia Parchizadeh with her fairy house pumpkin.
